    People Business Partner - Operations

    Full-time, Permanent

    This is a field-based position with regular travel across the central and northern parts of the UK, therefore you will need to be based on patch with good transport links.

    The Role

    This role will business partner members of the Operations Leadership team, developing and implementing Regional people plans, that underpin business strategy and the Bupa Dental Care (BDC) People plan. You will be a strong collaborator able to leverage People team COEs (centre of excellence) and build strong coaching relationships with the operation, leading on key projects as part of the change and transformation agenda.

    What will I be doing?

    • By understanding the business and our strategy you will identify and develop regional people plans to drive business performance and team engagement, working in partnership with stakeholders
    • Develop and build key relationships with the Regional Operations Directors and their teams, providing HR expertise and leadership in support of the business strategy/people plan; proactively addressing people risk and opportunity
    • Ensuring a workforce & talent/succession plan and organisation design that ensures right people / right skills / right place & time / right cost in the operation, working with your business partner.
    • Collaborate with People team COEs to ensure cross functional support that drives forward the business objectives and the people plan, champion continuous improvement and represent the voice of the business and frontline
    • Partner with Regional Operations Directors to build a learning and high performance culture within regions through capability development, continuous learning, and ensuring the business is future-fit.
    • Work with the business to develop and execute plans that promote a highly inclusive and engaged workforce across BDC.
    • Lead on Operations transformation projects as appropriate to ensure the people agenda is represented.

    What do I need?

    • Commercial Acumen: Understands the commercial aspects of the business and how to develop people plans that will support and enhance business performance.
    • Partnering: Successful track record of business partnering in large multisite organisations with diverse demographics.
    • Strategic Planning & Execution: Experience at developing people plans in line with business framework that drive performance and ensuring consistency and collaboration cross-company. Big picture thinking about how to support the business goals, alongside operational skills to implement them
    • Cross team Collaboration: Strong track record and experience of collaborating with / leveraging all aspects of HR e.g. recruitment, reward, engagement, talent, development etc to improve business performance on a sustainable basis.
    • Leadership & Influencing: experience of a partnering and influencing leaders and people managers to achieve business objectives and improve performance.
    • Managing Change: Experience in leading and managing change initiatives, including restructuring, mergers, and acquisition. Takes a partnering approach to ensure adoption and embed new ways of working.

    • Adaptable: Flexibility to adapt to changing business needs and environments, and to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
    • Coach & Mentor: Able to coach managers appropriately and act as sounding board for senior leaders.
    • Delivery & execution: Ability to prioritise for delivery and drive to a outcome
