Practice Manager Philippa Kenyon is on the lookout for a warm, organised and patient-focused Full Time Receptionist to become the welcoming face of Bupa Dental Care Stalybridge.

π Working Pattern – 35.5 hours per week
- Tuesday: 7.30am – 6.00pm
- Wednesday: 7.30am – 6.00pm
- Thursday: 7.30am – 6.00pm
- Friday: 10.00am – 4.00pm
π Your Role
As the first point of contact for our patients, you’ll play a vital role in shaping their experience. You’ll be the friendly, calming presence that makes every patient feel comfortable from the moment they walk through our doors.
Key responsibilities include:
- Welcoming patients with professionalism and warmth
- Managing appointments and diaries
- Handling patient queries face-to-face and on the phone
- Supporting the clinical team behind the scenes
- Ensuring the reception area runs smoothly and efficiently
This is a fast-paced, varied role where no two days are the same – perfect for someone who enjoys staying busy and making a real difference.

Our practice is located in the heart of Stalybridge, a busy and well-connected town with excellent public transport links including train and bus routes. We’re close to local shops, cafés, supermarkets, and green spaces such as Stamford Park – ideal if you enjoy a lunchtime walk or running errands on your break. Free and nearby parking options are also available.
You’ll be joining a friendly, supportive and professional team in a modern, well-established practice with a loyal patient base.

What you’ll be doing
As a Receptionist, you’ll play a key role in making every patient experience a positive one:
- Customer care at the heart – warmly greeting patients in person and over the phone, answering queries, and ensuring a relaxed, welcoming environment.
- Diary & appointment management – handling bookings, cancellations, and rescheduling to keep the practice running efficiently.
- Supporting patients with confidence – explaining processes and treatment options, supporting payment transactions, and helping patients understand their options (private vs NHS services).
- Administration you can rely on – keeping patient records accurate and up to date, managing confidential information, and maintaining a professional reception area.
- Problem-solving with empathy – handling concerns and complaints professionally, always aiming for a positive outcome.
- Being part of the team – supporting clinicians with smooth handovers and the patient journey from reception to treatment. Assisting with admin and helping the Practice Manager keep everything running smoothly.
What we’re looking for

- Previous experience in a customer-focused role.
- Strong communication skills, both face-to-face and over the phone.
- Confidence using IT systems to manage bookings and records.
- A proactive, flexible approach - ready to help where needed to support the team.
- Professionalism, empathy, and a genuine passion for delivering excellent service.
- Confident in promoting and upselling Bupa Dental Care products and services including plan options, finance and insurance claims.
