Accounts Payable Assistant (34861) -
Accounts Payable Assistant - 6 month FTC
Full-time, Monday - Friday
Hybrid working - North Bristol office 2-3 days a week
The Role
As the Accounts Payable Assistant, you will provide a professional and efficient accounts payable service to ensure suppliers are paid accurately and promptly, and maintain excellent relationships with suppliers and internal and external customers.
Responsibilities
- Input supplier invoices and practice data submissions in an accurate and timely manner to ensure correct payments
- Answer practice and supplier queries accurately and in a timely manner, resolving any issues, escalating issues where required
- Ensure correct authorisation is received for all invoices
- Ensure monthly Laboratory invoices are entered into accounting system via daily files in line with pre-set deadlines
- To reconcile supplier statements to ensure system and payment accuracy
- Activate and generate all supplier, associates, hygienists and locums payment runs in accordance with a monthly time schedule
- Rectify any payment errors
- To ensure correct payment authorisation is received in a timely manner
- To ensure accurate remittances are sent to suppliers in a timely manner
- To manage the monthly submissions of data generated by Practice staff ensuring data is checked and input in a timely manner to correspond with month end accounting timetables and associates pay schedules
- To maintain accurate financial records, ensure all paper-based and archived records are maintained for audit purposes
- To ensure full compliance with all internal, external and legislative requirements
- To ensure a professional, courteous and proactive internal and external customer service is provided at all times
Skills/Experience
- Previous accounts payable experience in a high volume environment
- Computer literate, in particular Excel
- Demonstrable experience of inputting bulk data accurately and efficiently
- Customer service experience
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work to deadlines
- Team working
- Experience using CODA is an advantage
