FP&A Analyst
Hybrid role (Bristol Support Centre/ Manchester Bupa Place/ London Angel Court/ Leeds Kirkstall Forge)
The Role
To support the FP&A Manager with the annual budgeting process for consolidated Group and local practice
targets. To analyse key P/L trends and work closely with the Finance Business Partners (FBP’s) to provide
timely management information. To assist in providing a storyboard for commentary in monthly reporting packs
Accountabilities / Responsibilities
• Support the FP&A manager with the annual budgeting process, specifically with the Group submission
and then the local practice budgets. Work closely with the FBP and Operational team in order to ensure
budgets are challenging and have a clear direction as to how it’s achievable.
• Assist with the submission of monthly budgeting and forecast results to Group.
• Support in the preparation of the Latest Forecast, understanding run rates, seasonality impacts, known
variables, risks and opportunities so we can track performance and what is needed in order to turn the
dial to meet business objectives.
• Prepare commentary for reporting packs which tell an accurate story as to the business performance,
areas of success and focus areas.
• Work closely with FBP’s to produce meaningful management information in order to investigate trends,
risks and opportunities
• Be a Finance representative for business wide strategic projects
• Support with ad hoc projects
Qualifications/Experience
• Qualified/ Part Qualified accountant (ACA/CIMA/ACCA/ AAT)
• Experienced in using Hyperion/ Oracle Financial Planning
• Strong analytical skills
• Advanced Excel and data review skills (modelling, pivot tables)
• PowerPoint and presentational skills
• Comfortable explaining finance concepts to non-finance people and building strong working
relationships
• Strong ‘story teller’ and excels at producing high quality presentational packs for senior management
meetings.
