We’re looking for a warm, organised, and people-focused Practice Coordinator to join our friendly team at Bupa Dental Care Matlock. This is a full-time role (38.75 hours per week), working 8:30am – 5:15pm, Monday to Friday.
As the friendly face of our practice, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring every patient feels welcomed, supported, and at ease from the moment they arrive.
π About the Role
At Bupa Dental Care, you will be the first point of contact for our patients and a key part of the practice team. This is a varied and rewarding role where you’ll be right at the heart of the practice, helping us deliver the exceptional customer care we’re known for.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Welcoming patients and managing a busy reception desk
- Supporting patients throughout their visit
- Managing appointments and patient enquiries
- Ensuring the practice runs smoothly behind the scenes
Full or part-time PCO candidates will also be considered.
For PCO applicants, the role will include:
- A mix of reception duties
- Leading and supporting the reception team
- Working closely alongside the Practice Manager

Bupa Dental Care Matlock is a busy private Platinum practice, known for delivering outstanding patient care.
- 4-surgery practice
- Team of 29 colleagues
- Accepting referrals for all specialist treatments, including implants
- Providing care for both specialist referral patients and our own general patients

As a Practice Co-ordinator you’ll be benefiting from an experienced practice team and exceptional development and opportunities to take you as far as you want to go; and that’s just to mention a few.
Practice Coordinator responsibilities
- Lead the practice team to assist in the provision of dental care services to patients.
- Comply with the Practice Business Plan and assist the manager in its implementation and delivery at the practice.
- Work with the Clinical Team and other internal departments to ensure the practice remains compliant with the General Dental Council and CQC guidelines, to ensure the delivery of first-class patient care
- Reception duties as required
Practice Coordinator skills and experience
- Personable, positive and enthusiastic with a great customer focus
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Previous administrative experience preferably in a dental or other healthcare environment
- Competent using Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Dental nursing experience desirable
