Job description
Senior Transformation Manager (33550) -
Senior Transformation Manager
Permanent, Full-time
Hybrid role based out of Bristol, London, or Manchester
Bupa Dental Care is at the start of a bold transformation journey—and we're looking for someone who’s excited by the challenge of building, leading, and delivering high-impact change. As a Senior Transformation Manager, you’ll be helping shape the way we transform as a business. If you're a strategic thinker who thrives in ambiguity and wants to be involved in creating lasting value for our teams and patients, we’d love to hear from you.
The Senior Transformation Manager will be responsible for:
Driving large, complex change initiatives across multiple connected projects using the appropriate delivery methodology.
- Leading transformation projects through all lifecycle stages:
- Discovery: conducting business analysis for senior leaders (e.g. identifying problems, gathering requirements, proposing solutions)
- Business case: supporting business owners to build robust cases, negotiating budgets, and ensuring clear, measurable outcomes
- Execution: managing high-priority projects within scope, time, and budget; creating agile/waterfall plans; driving pace; coordinating sub-initiatives and dependencies to ensure control of scope, budget, and quality
- Monitoring: tracking results against business cases
- BAU: ensuring smooth transition of projects into business-as-usual
- Supporting the Head of Transformation to strengthen Bupa Dental Care’s transformation maturity—developing and embedding ways of working and role modelling best practice
- Coaching junior or non-Transformation colleagues to build delivery capability and support more independent project ownership
- Building strong relationships with Exec Sponsors, Business Leads, and senior stakeholders, adapting style to ensure efficient delivery
- Keeping Patients, Practice, Planet, People and Performance at the heart of decisions—delivering outcomes while managing delivery costs
- Leading, motivating and coaching delivery teams, managing performance and development, and addressing any issues or behaviours
- Role modelling cultural and leadership change, embedding agile and test-and-learn approaches into project delivery and wider business culture
What do I need?
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree desirable, but not required
- Project management qualifications desirable (e.g. Project Management Professional, PRINCE2, Agile Certified Practitioner)
- Change Management qualifications desirable (e.g. Prosci, APMG)
Skills/Experience
- Business experience working in a consumer- centric paced business (e.g. dental care, healthcare, retail, FMCG etc.)
- Demonstrated experience in a blend of consulting and in-house transformation
- Must have experience in a lead role on a major transformation programme, ideally across multiple sectors and organisational contexts
- Experience leading complex, cross-functional transformation projects (e.g. across commercial, ops, HR, tech, finance)
- Must be able to demonstrate strong stakeholder management skills across a wide range of different senior stakeholders including Board level reporting.
- Ideally, experience helping build transformation maturity from the ground up—establishing structure, tools and capability in evolving teams
About You
- A credible and influential communicator with a collaborative style; able to build strong relationships across diverse teams and at executive level
- Thrives in ambiguity—brings clarity, motivates others, and drives progress in fast-paced, high-pressure environments
- Strategic and hands-on, with strong commercial awareness, attention to detail, and the agility to switch between big-picture thinking and delivery problem-solving
- A curious, growth-oriented mindset—passionate about transformation, confident with data, and focused on delivering meaningful impact for Bupa and its patients
