Application Support & Access Analyst
Permanent, Full-time
Hybrid - 1-2 days a month in the Bristol office
The Role
We are seeking an Application Support & Access Analyst to join our team. This role is critical in ensuring the smooth operation and support of all in-house built applications and our dental systems across Bupa Dental Care. You will act as the first point of contact for application-related issues, providing technical expertise and excellent customer service to internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day support for all in-house developed applications and dental systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve application issues, escalating to development teams when necessary.
- Become familiar with every team within the IT department and collaborate well to solve more complex problems.
- Manage user access requests, ensuring compliance with security and governance policies.
- Monitor system performance and proactively identify potential issues.
- Maintain accurate documentation for processes, configurations, and troubleshooting steps.
- Set up new user accounts, including configuring email addresses, assigning appropriate Active Directory groups, and granting application access via AppMin
- Create user accounts within our dental systems and configure initial clinician diaries to ensure smooth onboarding
- Be willing to work on other duties as assigned by the IT Service Manager and Application Support & Access Team Lead.
- To provide support via remote access, answering support queries and tickets onsite or via phone or email.
- To maintain the gold standard of customer service for all support queries and always adhere to all service management principles.
- To take ownership of user problems and be proactive when dealing with user issues.
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in application support or a similar technical role (preferred but not essential).
- An understanding of IT systems, databases, and user access management.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Knowledge of dental systems (preferred but not essential).
General requirements
- Friendly presence and helpful attitude; good interpersonal skills and ability to work well with others.
- Ability to utilize applications like Microsoft Office and Office 365 for support, and documentation.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to provide support over the phone; good phone skills, professional demeanour, **previous customer service experience strongly desired**
- Ability to handle constantly changing flow of traffic; remain productive during slow times, be able to multitask effectively during busy times, exercise patience and professionalism during stressful situations.
- Ability to work in a team.
- Ability to work with or without direct supervision.
