Receptionist – Bupa Dental Care Wisbeach

The practice is centrally located in Wisbeach, close to the River Nene and the town centre.
This makes the practice convenient for both commuting and lunch breaks.

By car: Easily accessible via the A47 and A1101. Local pay-and-display and public car parks are available nearby.
By bus: Wisbeach Bus Station is a short walk away, with regular services from surrounding towns and villages.
On foot: Centrally located and easily walkable from the town centre.
⏰ Working hours
Monday: 8:00 – 17:00
Thursday: 8:00 – 17:00
Friday: 8:00 – 17:00
Total: 24 hours per week

Start times can vary between 7:45 and 8:45, with shifts finishing at 17:15.

Our receptionists play a vital role in creating a positive experience for every patient. From the moment they walk through the door, you’ll help them feel comfortable, supported, and well cared for.
This is a varied and rewarding role where no two days are the same, and you’ll be right at the heart of the practice.

Welcoming patients and visitors to the practice
Managing appointments and patient records
Answering phone calls and handling enquiries
Supporting the clinical team with smooth day‑to‑day operations
Ensuring the reception area is professional and welcoming at all times
What you’ll be doing
As a Receptionist, you’ll play a key role in making every patient experience a positive one:
- Customer care at the heart – warmly greeting patients in person and over the phone, answering queries, and ensuring a relaxed, welcoming environment.
- Diary & appointment management – handling bookings, cancellations, and rescheduling to keep the practice running efficiently.
- Supporting patients with confidence – explaining processes and treatment options, supporting payment transactions, and helping patients understand their options (private vs NHS services).
- Administration you can rely on – keeping patient records accurate and up to date, managing confidential information, and maintaining a professional reception area.
- Problem-solving with empathy – handling concerns and complaints professionally, always aiming for a positive outcome.
- Being part of the team – supporting clinicians with smooth handovers and the patient journey from reception to treatment. Assisting with admin and helping the Practice Manager keep everything running smoothly.
What we’re looking for
You’ll thrive in this role if you’re people-focused, empathetic and enjoy creating positive experiences. You'll bring:
- Previous experience in a customer-focused role.
- Strong communication skills, both face-to-face and over the phone.
- Confidence using IT systems to manage bookings and records.
- A proactive, flexible approach - ready to help where needed to support the team.
- Professionalism, empathy, and a genuine passion for delivering excellent service.
- Confident in promoting and upselling Bupa Dental Care products and services including plan options, finance and insurance claims.
