We are seeking a Technical Data Product Owner to collaborate closely with all required business stakeholders, shaping and delivering our Practice Management Systems product roadmaps, with the ability to take on work to deliver product capabilities and services beyond this remit when required.
Responsibilities
• Product Strategy: Develop and own the product strategy for Practice Management Systems, working closely with key stakeholders.
• Roadmap Ownership: Create and maintain product roadmaps with 3rd‑party suppliers and the Head of Department, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer needs.
• Product Development: Collaborate with suppliers and cross‑functional teams to define, prioritise, and deliver new features.
• Stakeholder Communication: Build strong relationships across internal teams, leadership, and external partners, clearly communicating plans, updates, and performance.
• Working Groups: Chair and coordinate working groups, ensuring business and technical stakeholders are involved in key decisions.
• Data Governance: Lead the creation and management of data requirements and work with partners to implement them.
• Product Launches: Drive product launches from 3rd‑party providers and support business rollout with compelling messaging.
• Cross‑Team Collaboration: Build relationships across Bupa Dental Care to support successful product delivery.
• Best Practice: Contribute to product management best practice and foster a collaborative team culture.
• Requirements & Testing: Establish processes for requirement validation, including coffee‑shop testing, user acceptance, and stakeholder reviews.
• Change Management: Implement effective change processes to minimise impacts on existing business operations.
• Product Vision: Develop and deliver the product vision for Practice Management Systems in line with BDC strategy.
• Ongoing Communication: Regularly communicate strategy, roadmaps, and deliverables, addressing stakeholder needs and feedback.
• Continuous Development: Take a proactive approach to your own professional development.
Skills/Experience
- Experience delivering both established products and new product development; 3rd‑party experience beneficial.
- Ability to set and track KPIs to demonstrate value.
- Strong team player with the ability to build effective relationships at all levels.
- Able to translate stakeholder needs into clear, prioritised Product Backlog Items.
- Proactive, organised, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced agile environment.
- Positive approach to change, able to adjust priorities and influence others.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving ability.
- Proven success in delivering product features or launches that meet business goals.
Highly Desirable
- Experience with Practice Management Systems, ideally in a dental setting.
- Knowledge of agile, waterfall or Scrum project methods.
- Experience working within an agile team.
- Knowledge of clinical/operational best practice, user testing, analytics, and translating requirements into features.
