    Permanent, Full-time

    Hybrid role based in Bristol or London, with required travel to the office for meetings and team days

    The Role

    As a Technical Data Product Owner, you’ll shape and deliver high-impact data products that enable better decision-making across the organisation.

    You’ll champion product ways of working within the data space, translating complex and ambiguous needs into a clear, prioritised roadmap that drives value. Working closely with data teams and business stakeholders, you’ll ensure data is accessible, trusted and actionable.

    Responsibilities

    • Define and own the vision, strategy and roadmap for data products, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and measurable outcomes
    • Act as the interface between business stakeholders, data engineering, BI and Data Science teams
    • Translate ambiguous business problems into well-defined product requirements and deliverables
    • Prioritise competing demands effectively, balancing short-term needs with long-term strategic goals
    • Champion product management best practices and agile ways of working within data teams
    • Ensure data platforms, pipelines and products are scalable, reliable and aligned with user needs
    • Drive adoption and engagement with data products across the organisation
    • Foster a strong understanding of data fluency, promoting a data-driven culture
    • Support, mentor and develop team members, contributing to a high-performing and collaborative environment
    • Continuously evaluate product performance, using metrics and feedback to iterate and improve outcomes

    Skills/Experience

    Essential:

    • Proven experience in product management or product ownership, ideally within data or analytics environments
    • Strong understanding of data ecosystems, including data platforms, data warehousing, BI tools and data science workflows
    • Experience working with cross-functional technical teams, including data engineers, analysts and data scientists
    • Demonstrated ability to define product strategy and deliver against a roadmap
    • Familiarity with agile methodologies and product management frameworks
    • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and drive insights
    • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
