We are seeking a Technical Product Manager to collaborate closely with all required business stakeholders, shaping and delivering our Practice Management Systems product roadmaps, with the ability to take on work to deliver product capabilities and services beyond this remit when required.
Responsibilities
- Set Product Strategy: Develop and own the product strategy for Practice Management Systems, aligning with business objectives and customer needs.
- Own the Product Roadmap: Collaborate with 3rd‑party suppliers and departmental leadership to build and maintain the product roadmap, ensuring clear prioritisation and lifecycle management.
- Drive Product Development: Work with suppliers and cross‑functional teams to shape, influence and refine product features and enhancements.
- Lead Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with internal teams, senior leaders and external partners, ensuring clear communication of product plans, updates and performance.
- Facilitate Key Working Groups: Chair and coordinate working groups with relevant business and technical stakeholders to support informed decision‑making.
- Own Data Requirements: Lead the creation and governance of data requirements, working closely with 3rd parties to ensure successful implementation.
- Manage Product Launches: Oversee delivery of product releases from suppliers and support go‑to‑market activities with compelling messaging and effective business introduction.
- Cross‑Business Collaboration: Build strong relationships across Bupa Dental Care to support successful product and service delivery.
- Use Insights to Improve Products: Gather user feedback and analyse data to drive meaningful enhancements to digital products and journeys.
- Define & Measure Success: Establish and track product KPIs to drive commercial impact.
- Stay Ahead of Industry Trends: Maintain a strong understanding of market trends, customer needs and developments in digital health technology.
- Champion Best Practice: Contribute to the development of product management best practice and help foster a collaborative departmental culture.
- Support Requirements & Change Processes: Establish clear processes for requirements gathering, stakeholder validation (e.g., UAT, coffee shop testing) and change impact assessment.
- Deliver the Product Vision: Develop and communicate the product vision for Practice Management Systems, ensuring alignment with BDC strategy.
- Engage Internal Customers: Regularly update internal stakeholders on strategy, roadmap and deliverables, clearly articulating the value and addressing concerns.
- Commit to Continuous Development: Take a proactive approach to your own professional growth.
Skills/Experience
- Experience delivering both established and new products; 3rd‑party supplier experience is a plus.
- Ability to define and track KPIs to measure product value.
- Strong communicator who builds effective relationships at all levels.
- Confident translating stakeholder needs into clear, prioritised backlog items.
- Organised, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced, agile environment.
- Positive approach to change, with the ability to influence others.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Proven success launching product features and achieving business outcomes.
Highly Desirable
- Experience with Practice Management Systems, ideally in a dental setting.
- Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall or Scrum methodologies.
- Experience working within an agile product team.
- Knowledge of the dental industry and clinical/operational best practice.
- Understanding of user testing, analytics and turning requirements into features.
